My Name is Daniel Wiseman, I Served nine years in the military for the sole purpose of getting my education funded. I hale from Ventura California and this is where most of my family still resides. I currently live in San Antonio Texas with my wife and kids. From the point that I grew out of wanting to be an astronaut I wanted to design and develop interactive media. I have always been inspired by Video Games and Simulations, being as they can provide and much subtler yet deeply emotional story due to their longer run-times compared to movies. This is, of course only referring to certain games. All games, however, force the player to take part and vest interest in the stories outcome whatever it may be. For these reasons and more I chose to pursue my BS in Game Design and hopefully one day have even a small part in the development of these interactive experiences.

Due to my high artistic and creative abilities the Military offered me a fairly specialized job. My job was to hand craft Dental and Facial Prosthetics; this could be anything from a simple gold teeth to and glass eyes. I truly enjoyed what I did and I was proud that I could do it for my country. I never saw combat in any traditional sense nor have I ever deployed. I like to think that I did what I could to for my country, and now they are repaying me by funding my education. I learned about full sail several years before I separated, and decided that I wanted to attend. In 2013 I became a full time student of Full Sail while living off my VA benefits. My time as a full time student has allowed me to work on several personal prototypes and my education has helped me bring some of them to near completion.

I was a young man when I entered the military so it would be foolish to say that it didn’t shape me in one way or another. It is hard to say what attributes I would have had, had I not joined. I feel that being honest is the sign of a true professional, by this I mean owning up to mistakes that you may have made, or giving credit where it is due rather than taking credit for a team’s work and not acknowledging them. I also consider myself to have a strong work ethic, if something needs to get done I will do it weather it is my job or not, or I will at least help to get it done. I have a strong passion for the Video Game industry for the simple reason that games and interactive media make people happy, a good game gets a player emotionally invested in it characters and world, and when that game ends those players truly miss the people and places they visited the developers’ digital creation. I like to make people laugh at parties and I love to make my family happy; but the way I feel after I finish a great video game, I have never made anyone feel like that so I would like to try.
